What Would Jesus Do? Definitely not this.
If you're God, why are you bumming money for smokes?
A Satirical Biblical Sermon Exposing the Hypocrisy of Aaron Hurst and Jena Stagner AKA “Yeshua Ben Yosef” and “Mary Magdalene.”
“Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?” – Matthew 7:16
Before we begin, let’s address something important. There are those who would say I should remain silent, that calling out Aaron Hurst and Jena Stagner’s hypocrisy and cruelty is somehow unkind or unnecessary or unspiritual. To them I say this: When people keep quiet about abuse, it only allows the abusers to harm more people. And as an investigative journalist and the creator of a Facebook page focused on narcissistic abuse, my responsibility is to expose deception, not enable it. Everything contained in this article is backed up by public record, screenshots and witness testimony.
Now, onto the sermon.
Ah, dear brethren, gather ‘round for a tale most absurd, for we are here to discuss a man who claims to walk in the sandals of Jesus Christ Himself. But fear not! This is not your typical Sunday sermon, for today we examine a modern-day messiah with all the holiness of a tinfoil halo.
This man, Aaron William Hurst – who proudly announces himself as the reincarnation of Jesus Christ, God incarnate, and, oh yes, the leader of humanity itself – is someone we must examine closely. For as the good book says, “Ye shall know them by their fruits.” And, my dear readers, the fruits of Mr. Hurst are rotten to the core.
The Unholy Fruits of Aaron Hurst
Where to begin? Perhaps with the fact that this self-proclaimed savior has more in common with King Herod than with Jesus. For starters, he denies his own children. That’s right. A man who preaches love and righteousness refuses to pay child support, slanders the mother of his children, and even attempted to deny their very existence.
“But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.” – 1 Timothy 5:8
Then there’s his treatment of Jena Michelle Stagner, a woman he now claims is a demon. Stagner claims she’s Hurst’s wife, Mary Magdalene, Satan, the anti-Christ AND somehow married to Jesus Christ, too. And just as narcissists need flying monkeys, Stagner serves that role with frightening devotion. Since the moment I met Hurst, Stagner has harassed and threatened me, publicly proclaiming she is still his wife and that I have somehow wronged her by refusing to submit to her madness. She insists that I’m Mary Magdalene, too.
After a DMT-fueled Christmas Eve, in order to punish her for the supposed sin of not becoming pregnant by him (because apparently, women’s fertility is now a test of demonic possession), Hurst kicked Stagner out of the house. He later engaged in acts of cruelty, burning her belongings – legal documents included – filmed the whole thing and sent it to me, along with pictures of everything he planned to burn. I tried to stop him but he wouldn’t listen, saying if anyone else touched her things they would get possessed by demons, too. If cruelty is divine, then Hurst must be the patron saint of sociopaths. Stagner, on the other hand, didn’t mind and said the burning was “divinely orchestrated” and that I was the perfect pawn to fall for her schemes.
But wait, there’s more! According to Hurst, having sex with Stagner was his way of “punishing her” for being a demon. Would the man who said “Love thy neighbor as thyself” (Mark 12:31) ever use intimacy as a weapon? The answer is a resounding no.
Grandiose Claims and Delusions of Divinity
Aaron Hurst claims to be God Himself and has been trying to find his “apostles” for a long time without any luck. Not only that, but he also boasts of having created Human Design and, in his spare time, destroyed the moon. Yes, the moon. Because why stop at inventing humanity when you can also obliterate entire celestial bodies?
But wait, it gets better! Not only does Mr. Hurst claim to be the inventor of humanity itself, but he also insists he has passed all Seven Levels of Initiation and achieved full ascension. That's right, folks! According to him, he’s reached the pinnacle of spiritual mastery. Funny how this supposed “ascended master” spends most of his time slandering others, evading child support, burning possessions, and making terroristic threats.
True ascension is marked by service to humanity, divine neutrality, unconditional love, and impeccable integrity. From what we’ve seen of Mr. Hurst’s behavior, he’s more likely stuck somewhere between the Second and Third Initiations at best—struggling with basic emotional control, ego dominance, and using spirituality as a weapon. Not exactly what you’d expect from someone claiming to have completed the Seventh Initiation, is it?
“For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself.” – Galatians 6:3
Hurst goes by “Yeshua Ben Josef” on Facebook, and even his answering machine proclaims, “Aaron no longer exists, you've reached Yeshua, God himself.”
“For they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness…” – 2 Peter 2:18
Even more alarming, Hurst and Stagner predicted the death of hundreds of thousands of people on a specific date, as if they were the bringers of divine judgment. Yet the date passed, and here we all are, very much alive. So, what happened? Did the apocalypse get lost in the mail?
Ah, but his pettiness isn’t limited to false doomsday prophecies. His manipulation extends to anyone gullible or kind-hearted enough to offer their help. Recently, Hurst conned a respected spiritual teacher into teaching and counselling him for an entire month without compensation, then blocked her when she dared to ask for payment. And how did he justify this exploitation? By calling her evil and accusing her of practicing black magic, insisting I block her as well. Meanwhile, the man who claims to be the Messiah was literally bumming money for cigarettes this morning on Facebook. Because nothing says 'I am the Creator of Humanity' like being unable to afford a pack of Marlboros.
Let’s talk about his criminal record. Just last year Aaron Hurst pled guilty to four counts of Terroristic Threatening in the First Degree, Criminal Trespass, and Disorderly Conduct. And what exactly did this self-proclaimed embodiment of divine love do? One of those counts of Terroristic Threatening was for issuing a death threat against an innocent child. Yes, you read that correctly. The man who claims to be God threatened to murder a child. Granted he was high on mushrooms at the time and screaming to anyone that would listen that he was Jesus trying to spread love, but still. A kid? Really, Yeshua?
“Whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.” – Matthew 18:6
Yet this same man tells women he will travel to see them – Hawaii, Canada, you name it – but conveniently forgets to mention that he’s still serving five years of probation for these crimes and can’t leave the state of Arkansas. What would Jesus do? Certainly not endanger innocent people, violate the law, skip out on his drug test and then pretend like it’s all going to magically “go away.”
“Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.” – Galatians 6:7
Mental Health Conditions and Delusional Grandeur
And let’s not forget the official forensic report, which clearly outlines Hurst’s diagnosed mental health conditions, including Bipolar Disorder and Substance-Induced Psychosis. These aren’t baseless accusations—they’re documented facts. The same man who claims to be the reincarnation of Jesus Christ has a medical record littered with delusions of grandeur, paranoia, and volatile behavior. His wild proclamations of divinity and threats of violence aren’t just symptoms of spiritual arrogance; they are hallmarks of untreated mental illness compounded by substance abuse.
As the Bible itself warns: “Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.” – Proverbs 16:18
Then there’s his encounter with a man named Steven R. After a very public falling out where Hurst was screaming at everyone that he was Jesus Christ, Hurst sent me a letter to forward to Steven, who had blocked him, pleading for reconciliation. Steven, in good faith, accepted the gesture. Yet within a day, Hurst laughed it off, calling Steven a “fucking fraud” and “out of alignment” and said he only sent the letter as a joke. He didn't seem to care that he had involved me in the whole thing, and other than continuing to bash a man I considered a friend and a brother, Hurst refused to speak of it further.
“For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.” – James 3:16
Conclusion
In the end, the truth is as clear as day. Aaron Hurst is not a messiah, not a prophet, not even a decent human being. He is a false teacher, a corrupt tree whose fruits are plain to see. The man who claims to have ascended has only descended into darkness. His actions reveal not a holy man, but a desperate, power-hungry narcissist scrambling to cover his own sins with grandiose delusions. We won’t even sum up Jena Stagner but we will wish her well on her way to the insane asylum.
As Jesus himself said, “Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.” – Matthew 7:15
Amen.
